Andrew Luck has been one of the more consistent quarterbacks in the NFL this season, despite the Colts winning three straight games and missing the playoffs for the first time since 2004.
His team has played better defense than most would like to admit and has won its last three games.
But as of Sunday, the Bears still have one of their best quarterbacks remaining in Andrew Luck.
“I’m excited to be back and to play with the guys,” Luck said in a statement released by the team.
“Coach (Marshall) O’Brien is the one who’s been with me for a long time.
We’ve had some great coaching together and the way that I’ve developed over the years, I’m really excited to get back to playing with the best.”
While Luck has not been the quarterback to win a Super Bowl with the Colts, he has been able to find success with them in the playoffs.
“He has been a big part of our success over the last few years,” O’Connor said.
“It’s been a lot of fun to have him back with us.
He’s been able make the most of it.”
Luck said Sunday that he wants to stay with the Bears for the rest of the season and is excited about returning to the playoffs as the team’s quarterback of the future.
“To have Andrew Luck as a leader and to have the opportunity to have that kind of success, it’s going to be really rewarding,” Luck added.
“Obviously, that means a lot to us, it means a huge amount to the fans.
I’m just excited to continue to have a chance to be a part of it and to be able to be in that position, be able play in those games.”
