Joe Renni has been named the new Blues boss following the departure of Tony Pulis and Roberto Di Matteo.
Rennie took over at the start of this season and the club will now face the daunting task of finding a new boss.
The 56-year-old had overseen the club’s best Premier League finish since 1997, but was sacked following a 3-0 defeat by West Brom on the opening day of the season.
He will now have to fill a role vacated by Di Matteos, who was sacked after two seasons in charge.
Rollo was one of the players Di Matteis had linked with joining the Blues after leaving Liverpool in 2015, and he would be a key player for the club.
