If you’ve ever tried to make pie crust, you’ve probably seen how it’s made: with butter and a crust that’s slightly hard.
It’s easy to make, but it’s also messy.
In this article, I’m going to tell you how to make your own homemade pie crust that is super easy and super delicious.
In my last post, I showed you how I used a food processor to make the perfect pie crust for a pie filling, and in this post, we’re going to do the same thing with our own homemade dough.
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (177 degrees C)Step 2: In a medium bowl, combine the egg yolks, flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda.
Step 3: In the bowl of your food processor, pulse the eggs until the mixture resembles a paste.
The mixture should resemble a crumbly mixture.
Step 4: In another bowl, add the egg whites, lemon juice, and milk.
Step 5: Mix everything together until you get a sticky dough that’s soft but not sticky.
You may need to add more water as it will become more sticky.
Step 6: Use a pastry brush or food mill to shape the dough into a ball.
Place it in the prepared oven, and bake for about 35 to 40 minutes.
